Archery History

I became intrigued by archery at the age of ten when I got my first bow for my birthday. It was a PSE recurve with thirty pound pull. Once I under stood the concept of shooting a bow and arrow; the natural ability to shoot came easy and then I became interested in the compound bow at age of fifteen. I shot my first deer with archery equipment at the age of eighteen (1991). I discovered 3D Archery in (1992) and I have been shooting 3D since at local clubs. I have been shooting ASA at the National level for three years now in the men’s open class with goal of going pro with in two years.

When I am not competing; I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping and hiking. I most enjoy spending time with my family and teaching my two sons the sport of archery and the great out doors. I volunteer as parent leader for the boy scouts teaching life learning essentials and skills that will carry with them into adult hood.
